At about 9:10 this morning at Almaden Lake Park the adult GLAUCOUS GULL was
standing on the small rocky island that extends west from the large island.
It stayed there preening and drinking water off and on until about 9:30 when
it flew away to the west.  While it was standing on the island, it provided
good looks at its light gray and white plumage as well as its yellow eye and
pink legs.
