Driving on 280 south today, I spotted a large dark bird on top of the
Dish. As others had reported Golden Eagles there, I pulled off just
before the Alpine Rd. exit and walked back where I could see the bird.
Sure enough -- I could spot glints of gold on its head, and then it
obligingly flew to a large oak, where is flopped around until it
managed to land.

This was about 2:30pm today.

What a gorgeous day to be out!
