A WESTERN GREBE east of the boat launch at Calero. An adult FERRUGINOUS HAWK in the field [on the ground] northeast of the intersection of Santa Teresa Blvd. and Richmond Ave in Morgan Hill [a recent place], another adult FERRUGINOUS HAWK southeast of the intersection of Rucker Ave and New Ave in Gilroy [on the television antenna on top of a two-story house, a usual place]. Five WILD TURKEYS on the east side of Canada Road a couple miles south of Gilroy Hot Springs Road. A good sized flock of LARK SPARROWS [20-30 birds] and a LEWIS'S WOODPECKER on the north side of Canada Road 1.7 miles southwest of it's junction with Jamison Rd [approx. 4 miles from Hwy, 152, a usual place for the sparrows but a new place for the woodpecker]. Finally we had two GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES [a brownish-black bodied but bright yellow eyed male (?) and a female] in the parking lot of Riverside Golf Course [a sometimes place].
