This is the first time I've birded in this park and I have to say it was very nice. Thank you Kendric for having me tag along. We had two very nice birds for the count day list. A Golden Eagle was seen roosting near the water tanks/fire station, which ultimately flew off to the apparent delight of a very noise Red-tailed Hawk. Secondly, a single Lawrence's Goldfinch was well seen by Kay and myself at the "lake" parking area. Kendric referred to his park bird checklist and Lawrence's Goldfinch is apparently not on the park list.
