Some other birds seen: one Bufflehead (I think), numerous Northern Shovelers and Ruddy Ducks, a flock of White Pelicans surrounded by a flock of Avocets, and a lovely male Kestrel who swooped up to the power line above me and gave me a nice long look. Never seen them here before (though being on this list has inspired me to be more observant!) but I used to see somewhat similar birds in Los Altos which I thought were Pine Siskins, and now I wonder if they, too, were Audubon's Warblers.
