Although there are many ponds scattered throughout Campbell, the closest pond to this home was 1/2 a mile away. I could hear an OSPREY and looked up to see one flying over. It had a RED-TAIL HAWK close behind. The Osprey was headed toward Los Gatos and was calling the entire time it flew over as the Red Tail Hawk pursued it. I do not mean to be anthropomorphizing here (try saying that out loud) , but I do believe the Red Tail was telling the Osprey to go back from where it came and the Osprey was screaming the entire way. The Red Tail was only about 20 feet behind the Osprey and was gaining. I think the Red Tail could have over taken the Osprey if it really wished. Well, at least I hope the Osprey got away.
