An adult BALD EAGLE was seen this morning (Thurs, Dec 9) at the lower end of Calero Reservoir. Presuming this is the same eagle that has been wintering here for the past several years, it was seen at its "favorite" perch - a small oak at the end of a peninsular projection southwest of the dam. The bird could be seen through binoculars from the boat ramp - better views through a scope. Sixteen COMMON MERGANSERS were seen along the banks of Calero Reservoir, and on Tues, Dec 7, sixty Common Mergansers were at the lower end of Chesbro Reservoir. No loons were seen today at Calero - Good birding - Ann Verdi _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
