Pete asked me to post this:

I found a first winter Harris' Sparrow in Mountain View Shoreline Park at 
4:00 this afternoon (12/3). From the east end of Terminal Way (off San 
Antonio Road) take the paved path past the green metal gate and toward 
Shoreline Lake. Just over the bridge the paved path starts to curve to the 
left. The Harris' Sparrow was in the coyote brush immediately to the left 
of the path. After a minute or two it flew over the path and into the creek 
bed on the right (south) side of the path.
