After searching for some time Frank spotted the bird just as it surfaced and we watched it as it spent some time swimming toward us and then proceeded to preened for several more minutes. Just as we left the RTLO dove and was not seen again as we walked back to the car (we checked several times on the way). We were also unable to find the RTLO later as we searched for the Common Loon from the boat launch ramp (alas no COLO "joy"). As we left Calero we ran into (not literally) Ann Verdi who had similar "Loony" experiences this morning. On our way home we stopped at Almaden Lake Park which had no birds of note and at the SCVWD Ponds (a PEREGRINE FALCON was perched in a Sycamore on the north side of the main pond). Take care, Bob Reiling _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
