Walking up the tracks I never saw it. However, I did see a Least Sandpiper, apparently sick and acting like the Westerns that Bob described. It could hardly stand up and would only weakly flap its wings. Seven or eight of its buddies hung around for a while, even walking up to him, but they eventually flew off. This was on the dry flats between the tracks and the Spreckles pond. I did get a brief look at the Stilt Sandpiper at 6:45 pm from Spreckles Street. It was feeding next to one the islands not too far from the road. As I set up my scope, it flew off and landed in the dowitcher crowd.
