The Louisiana Waterthrush continued this evening
(8/16) at Vasona County Park in Los Gatos.  About a
dozen people, including Ryan Terrill, David Vander
Pluym, Heidi Trudell, Janna Pauser, a birder named
Fritz from Placer County and I had prolonged,
outstanding views as it ranged betwen the railroad
bridge and the lake.  In all we saw it from about 7 PM
until it became too dark to see much.  I'm really glad
this bird stuck around long enough for Ryan and I to
race back from Arizona!  Good birding,
