After an absence of nearly 12 hours the Louisiana Waterthrush was found by 
Ken Archibald of Berkeley. He doggedly pursued the bird since early 
afternoon, walking up and down the creek for miles before sighting it near 
the R.R. bridge around 6 pm. Finally at 7:53 he was sure he saw it, and the 
four remaining birders stood on the R.R. bridge looking north when the 
waterthrush appeared on a log for good views. Soon it flew downstream and 
pranced around on a rock for some time. Kathy Robertson, Ken Archibald, 
Paul Stevens and myself congratulated each other and went home.
