A few minutes later Al DeMartini, Allen Wolfchuck (sp?) and I watched the bird on the first island. Before long the BLTU flew further east and landed, once again, on the dike. In both instances it called as it took flight. It also seemed to be calling (unheard) when on the island. Unfortunately we lost sight of the bird as talked over recent bird sightings and were unable to relocate it when Dave Weber walked up. Hopefully he, Al and Allen will re-find it as they continued on out the dike after the Ruddy Turnstones.
