Finding nothing of interest we then decided to check out the Chilean Flamingo in Salt Pond A14. On the way out, on a small island in Salt Pond A13, we spotted a pair of BLACK SKIMMERS (male and female) with a recently fledged juvenile (looking very much like the juvenile BLSK that was previously on an island in Salt Pond A16 with no black on the reddish bill). On this same island (Salt Pond A13) was a first summer COMMON TERN (looked very much like the COTE we had in Salt Pond A9 on 7/23) and a couple juvenile FORSTER'S TERNS. The gorgeous CHILEAN FLAMINGO was on the western edge of Salt Pond A14. A quick check of Salt Pond A14 and A9 yielded no other "notables." Take care, Bob Reiling _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
