Hi,

I was surprised to see a pheasant in stunningly golden
plumage merrily foraging in the underbrush last
evening at the summit of Edgewood Park in San Mateo
county. A quick search on Google for "pheasant golden"
revealed the bird's identity to be a GOLDEN PHEASANT:

This is quite an impressive bird, and befitting a
domesticated bird, showed little fear of human
presence, contrary to the description in the above
site.
