No luck on the LALO. However, there were plenty of other birds observed there or along the road. I'd have to say the treat for me was a GREAT-HORNED OWL perched on a wire surveying a grassy field--probably ready to swoop down on an unsuspecting rodent. There was absolutely no place to stop on the road to watch :( Another highlight for me was a displaying WILD TURKEY. Other birds included Western Meadowlark Bullock's Oriole Yellow-billed Magpie Mourning Dove European Starling Red-winged Blackbird Lesser Goldfinch Orange-crowned Warbler Watched a marvelous sunset on the way down.
