I checked out the heron island this afternoon (3:30) and I was able to 
locate 4 nests with chicks including the original 2 chicks spotted on 
last Wed SCVAS fieldtrip. They were sitting atop the same shrub sunning 
and preening. At ~5:30 an adult flew in and the chicks were pecking the 
adults beek for food. I also found some other BCNH that appeared to be 
incubating eggs. The Great Egrets are still on their nests, no new 
activity. Some Snowy's were sunning themselves and a Green Heron flew 
in. A White pelican with centerboard was paddling around the island and 
fishing. I saw 2 muskrats (maybe the same one twice).
