Although there were few birds, we did see a single male Blue-winged Teal in Adobe Creek near the dry "island" where the Creek and the Flood-control Basin connect. It was a mature male in breeding plumage with a bright white crescent on the face, some white on the back of an otherwise dark head, bright white rump patches and brown speckled sides. It was hanging out with some Cinnamon Teal and Green-Winged Teal. Lots of Marbled Godwits and Western Sandpipers on the mud flats of the slough with the tide way out.
