It waded in the water foraging out in the open for a while, then moved into the pickleweed near black-necked stilts, where it moved in and out of view. We were able to get nice views with a scope. To see the bird, turn into the entrance road off Los Esteros, cross the railroad tracks, pass the narrow PG&E boardwalk on the right, and then look for the bird in the marshy area and pickleweed on the right.
