A new yard bird. The next evening, just after dark, I was attracted to a "wik wik wik" call from overhead and had 3 BARN OWLS over my house circling and diving on each other, with some possible talon grasping. Perhaps a territorial conflict? MARSH WRENS continue to sing in the bulrushes bordering the pond on Great America property along San Tomas Aquino Creek in Santa Clara. Probably breeding there.
