Our happy group, led by Harriet Gerson and including Lisa Myers, Kristine Long, Harold Fukuma, June Santoro, and myself, had a great time looking for birds at Stevens Creek Park (SCP) and Mtn. View Shoreline. The neatest sightings were: - 2 adult Golden Eagles over the lower section of SCP. They seemed to be enjoying some playful flight, flying closely and chasing. - A Vaux's Swift cruised by... swiftly... northward, very low overhead at the MV Forebay - A Belted Kingfisher flying from a possible nest hole at SCP Our final count was 108 species, which was not bad for a very relaxed day of birding. We missed some birds that we should have found, but that's birding! Les Chibana, Palo Alto CA _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
