The controversial LESSER GOLDEN-PLOVER was down the tracks, in its usual haunts, but I didn't spend much time studying it. On the way out I had an adult PEREGRINE FALCON go whistling past my head, coming out of the sun, and snatch a WESTERN MEADOWLARK out of the air low over the marsh. On Saturday, 27 Sep 03, I checked out the Palo Alto Baylands, where the fennel patch had 2 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS and a HERMIT THRUSH. There were 5 YELLOW WARBLERS in the eucs around the ranger station. The Water Pollution Control Plant had 7 YELLOW WARBLERS, an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, and a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER. Matadero riparian had a YELLOW WARBLER, an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, and a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER. Mike Mammoser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
