Hi!
Yesterday morning at 9am sharp, I parked at the top of the Alum Rock Park road 
and walked out on the bridge where I noticed an American Dipper feeding just 
below the bridge.  I quickly snapped a couple of shots from which I was able 
to determine the juvenile status of the bird from the white eyelids (eye 
crescent in tech. terms) and lighter chest.  After it got nervous of the 
camera, it flew upstream where I found it again feeding just above the next 
bridge.  There were construction crews doing major creek restoration in 
between the two sights, and it amazed me to find this little bird, apparently 
undaunted by the commotion!  Great birding,
