I took a new birder, even newer than me, to Vasona this
Saturday between 9:30am and noon (I know, wrong place for
that time of day).  I hoped it would be cool by the water. 
It wasn't!

Still, this is what we saw.  I was pleased to see the
Bluebirds and the Yellow-Rumped Warblers.  Surprised to see
the Oriole.  But, I think the Spotted Sandpiper likes me. 
I see it way more than seems normal.

Hooded Oriole
Lesser Goldfinch
House Sparrow
