I had slim pickings of western migrants: (2) ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, YELLOW WARBLER, and WILSON'S WARBLER. Two immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS were the first I've seen this fall. Pond 4 (counting from Bloomfield) is currently filled and has attracted typical waterbirds and shorebirds. Six RED-NECKED PHALAROPE were interesting at this inland location. Coming back north I made a late-morning visit to Hellyer CP, but found it quiet with just local resident species.
