On my Saturday 9/6 birding I turned out to get a couple of pix I liked of
Semipalmated Plovers at Crittenden. The one in profile shows a textbook
juvenile, with white tips on the upperpart feathers, and a broken
breastband. The one with raised wings could, I guess, be an adult -- though
I don't know if they ever complete their pre-basic molt this early.
