Good morning all:

The birders outnumbered the Hudsonian Godwits 18 to 2 this morning between 7:45 and 9:00 a.m.   Using pickleweed to its best advantage, the Godwits gave alternate good looks and strategically challenging looks at their field marks.  One or two marbled godwits foraged in the vicinity for nice comparisons.  

The Godwits were observed on the east side of the railroad tracks, most easily accessed via the entrance Road to the environmental ed. center off of Los Esteros Rd.
