The only notable warbler was a single ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER among the many AUDUBON'S YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, although I thought I heard two "chinks" from what could have been a Northern Waterthrush across the slough. The adult PEREGRINE FALCON was on the tower at the corner of the entrance road and a single DARK-EYED JUNCO was with the sparrow flock below it. A quick check of the first pond east of the railroad tracks as you head out from the entrance road turned up the STILT SANDPIPER with sleeping dowitchers. A total of 8 LESSER YELLOWLEGS were also about (6 along the entrance road and 2 more in the first pond). A count of 88+ KILLDEER in the pond at State and Spreckles seemed like a decent number for there. Mike Rogers _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
