In among the many hundreds of shovelers, pintail, gadwall and other ducks were at least 2 EURASIAN WIGEON. They were seen on the open water from the outermost part of the third levee. Also of interest were 7 Brown and 4 Am. White Pelicans, 1 green-winged and several cinnamon teal, and a few American Pipits. A flyby Sterna tern had a lot of dark on the head, uniform light gray on the upperwing and dark on the outer primaries. It didn't grab me as being a Forster's in the brief look I had but I couldn't call it. Bill too large for Arctic -- may have been a Common.
