They had it in their scope for ten minutes and reported it to the park ranger. They had been birding at various locations in the Bay Area for five days and said I was the first birder they'd met. As we were talking I noticed a flurry of activity in a small tree. We saw eight Huttons Vireos chattering to each other. I didn't know they were capable of such sounds.
