All,

I find it striking that this sighting has not been posted to Calbirds. I notice that Les Chibana has only now cross-posted it to the Monterey Birds listserver, having seen it on this listserve.

According to Guy McCaskie, there are only 10 CBRC-accepted records of this species in California, none from the northern part of the State.

With details lacking, how credible are these reports?
