I was traveling north on 101 and saw the bird flying across a field at the Trimble Road exit. Ever since that sighting, I have always looked for shrikes in that area. Unfortunately, today that same field is under construction as they prepare to build. This morning to my surprise, I observed a shrike in that same area. The shrike was north of the construction on the other side of the Trimble Road over pass. This bird was sitting on a wire overlooking the grassy area inside the off ramp.
