Despite the presence of hundreds of BONAPARTE'S GULLS [over 200 in the Palo Alto Yacht Harbor at one time and 350-500 in the water treatment facility] we were unable to relocate the FRGU. I should note that we also had MEW GULLS mixed in with the gulls in the harbor and in the Water Treatment Facility. On our way home we made a brief stop to verify that the WHITE-WINGED SCOTER and the female BARROW'S GOLDENEYE are still present on Shoreline Lake. The bill on the BAGO is more yellow than when seen earlier and the forehead has a much more vertical component. The WWSC was never too far from the Goldeneyes and did not associate with the SURF SCOTERS. We also had a HORNED GREBE in the lake [a first of the fall for me]. Take care, Bob Reiling _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
