This afternoon I looked up when a Red-tailed Hawk screamed above my house just below Piedmont Road in Milpitas.  The object of the attention of two red-tails was a juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE.  The two hawks harrassed the eagle continuously as the group continued south along the foothills.

Living here for 20 years, Golden Eagles frequently flew above my house until about five years ago.  I also saw them in the foothills virtually every trip.  They've become much more sparse here in recent years.  Hopefully, the population is coming back.
