    SCVAS members on this list may have noticed that the November Avocet
refers to the possibility of online registration (at the National Audubon
web site) for this year's CBCs.  Unfortunately, while that is Audubon's
expressed intent, it is still not possible to do so.  In fact, it isn't
even yet possible for the compilers to enter their count information on
that web site.  So, anyone contemplating checking that out should hold
off.  I (or someone else) will let you know when the system is usable,
if indeed it comes up in adequate time for this year's counts.
