A quick check of the golf course pond from the end of Geng Rd. failed to turn up Hooded Merganser. I then went to Shoreline Lake and found the male Greater Scaup near to shore and the Common Goldeneyes. Could not pick out Mike's female Barrow's. Hoping (still) for Short-eared Owl, I instead had a Barn Owl fly directly over my head on the Marsh Loop Bay Trail.
