There were indeed some new ducks there. Besides the 8 SURF SCOTERS (3 adult males and 5 fem/immature), there were about 6 GREATER SCAUP (including an adult male that may be our resident injured bird), 14 COMMON GOLDENEYES (4 adult males, 10 fem/imm), and one immature (likely male by size) BARROW'S GOLDENEYE. A HORNED GREBE on the lake was also a recent arrival. Three TREE SWALLOWS winged their way over the Forebay to the nearby Palo Alto Flood Control Basin.
