This afternoon, I observed 2 pair of HOODED MERGANSERS on Oka Pond #5 (the
large northern pond).
I also observed an OSPREY flying over pond #1 (the northern pond in Los
Gatos Creek Park), which eventually roosted in a treetop on western most
island in the pond.
Other wintering species included NORTHERN SHOVELER, GADWALL, RUDY DUCK, and
AMERICAN WIGEON.
