On Thursday morning at the Sunnyvale WPCP, Pat Kenny and I saw a RED
PHALAROPE in the SE corner of the oddly shaped pond (Al Eisner calls it the
nose) past the pump and trail junction N of the parking area.  This bird had
a plain gray back, an all black lower mandible, and a heavy bill, especially
broad when viewed from above.  I went back and failed to refind it on
Friday.
