Birds encountered in Santa Clara County included WESTERN WOOD PEWEE, PHAINOPEPLA, WESTERN TANAGER and a flock of rougly 20 LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCHES at the Firestation, 4 LEWIS' WOODPECKERS and LARK SPARROW a short distance from the Junction along San Antonio Valley Road. Other birds of interest encountered out-of-county included BARN OWL, ROCK WREN, CANYON WREN, HORNED LARK, RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW and BLUE GROSBEAK.
