It's on Frenchman's Road on the Stanford Campus. Get yourself onto Campus Drive, the circular drive around the inner campus, turn southeast on Mayfield, then right on Frenchman's, and the meadow is on your right where the road deadends. It has two palm trees -- where the Hooded Orioles nest -- a birch copse, numerous oaks and redwoods, a wetland area with some willows, as well as some grassland with coyote bushes. A modest little birding area. I always get my directions mixed up on the south Peninsula even though I've lived here forever. Frenchman's Road (like University Avenue Palo Alto, and Palm Drive into Stanford) runs north-south not east-west (north toward the bay, south toward the foothills) and the palm with the oriole nest is the north one (bay) -- not the east one, as I reported before.
