The usual suspects, but in addition to the prominent YB Chat along the west side of the levee top that Mike mentioned, two crossed the levee road twice, just a few feet upstream of Bloomfield Road. One appeared to be in hot pursuit of the other both times. A fourth chat was heard, not seen. Beautiful Green Heron was also near the road. In the section of the creek just where the first road down to the sewer meets the levee, American Bittern were calling. A bobcat kept me company, pacing me from a distance of about 50 yards ahead during much of my visit.
