Lots of Blue Bird activity. One male carrying a twig to the nearest box to the overlook. Saw what must have been young ones--shortish bill, a bit of brown still on the back. Saw the Titmice and Swallows in the same area of a box on down the trail. Heard a Grosbeak close by but couldn't find it. As I came back to the car which was in the parking area nearest the restroom, I saw a strange "lump" on a large overhanging (the car) limb. I couldn't believe what I was seeing--a beautiful Black-Crowned Night Heron with eyes wide open, pretending to be a statue. Is that a new bird for the park? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier.
