This was at 10AM on Mt Hamilton Rd, at the large pullout at milepost 14.4, about a third of mile before the Twin Gates parking area. Actively foraging and singing in the oaks next to the road there at a very comfortable height were at least 3 TOWNSEND's WARBLERs, 3 WILSON's WARBLERs, 2 HERMIT WARBLERs, 1 NASHVILLE WARBLER, 2 BLACK-THROATED GREY WARBLERs. The latter three all firsts for the year. Also with them, at least 1 WARBLING VIREO. It was quite a thrill. That was it for warblers, since I didn't see another in the 30 minutes I spent at Smith's Creek. An ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER and a CASSIN's VIREO were by the creek. A rather odd sight was a WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH walking around on the gravel in the parking lot.
