Janna Pauser gave me a call late this morning.  The
flock of a dozen or so Grosbeaks were still in
Guadalupe Oak Grove.  I made a quick trip and found
them.  They were staying rather low to the ground due
to the blustery wind, I assume.  I also saw one Ash
Throated Flycatcher in the same area.

  While watching the birds from the trail near the
Vargas entrance, a female Wild Turkey ambled down the
trail, then crossed into the grass to the east.  From
there, she crossed the trail from the Vargas entrance
and headed up the higher hill to the north. She was
not at all intimidated by the presence of me and my
husband.  It has been several years since I've seen
Wild Turkey in this park.

Wind and a cold shower of rain sent me scurrying for
the car.
