The Coopers still refuse to give up their secrets, but today a male Western 
Tanager brightened my visit to Los Altos.  I had hints of several birds but 
only one clear view.   He joined the many Goldfinches currently in Los 
Altos (mostly Lessers), the Housefinches, the Nuttalls, the Phoebes, the 
Ravens, the Towees (spots and no spots :)), the Annas Hummingbirds, 
etc..  A very birdy area although I rarely have time to really appreciate 
it as I should!
