There are two fan palms in the meadow, and this species has nested in them every year since I started birding, 1992. The male NUTTALL'S WOODPECKER was drumming today. There are lots of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS here, at least of half of which seem to be Myrtles. A good number of them are fully into alternate plumage, and I've seen quite a few engaged in pair behavior -- chasing, and crouching with wings a-flutter. I heard the song of a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER here yesterday. http://www.geocities.com/tgrey41/hooded_orioles.jpg Tom Grey [[email protected]] _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
