This was Smiths Creek--sorry. Yesterday evening, 3/27/2003, I counted eight AM. WHITE PELICANS on Salt Pond A1, seven on the SE island and the eighth on the NW island. A male BLUE-WINGED TEAL was in the channel W of the Stevens Creek Tidal Marsh. This morning, 3/28/2003, I watched the pair of PEREGRINE FALCONS at the Palo Alto Baylands. Although there was some calling I did not observer any other interactions. When I left, the female was on the tower on the N side of the estuary and the male on the tower on Hook's Isle.
