Good afternoon SBBers.......

I am proud to announce two Great Blue Heron babies born to Nest 1 at the 
Vasona Rookery.  I was watching them this afternoon and I heard the little 
ones crying (I still cannot see them in the nest).  I watched as the GBHE 
cleaned out the nest and over came the used egg shell.  The egg shell was 
still wet on the inside. I found another dried shell too in the same area.  
Then the Dad came in and fed the little ones and all was quiet.....

This morning Peggy Don and I went and checked out the Barn Owl and it's baby 
at the EEC.  We saw the adult and a pretty good size baby in the 
box......it's baby season!
