After not seeing the Franklin's Gull early this morning, as reported by Bob
Reiling, Pat Kenny and I took another look at CCFS about 10 am: five
BONAPARTE'S GULLs but no Franklin's Gull.  At EEC on the way home, there was
a family of BARN OWLs in the nest box: an adult and two kids.

This evening we watched a SHORT-EARED OWL hunt out between Matadero and
Adobe Creeks.  We were on the hills in Byxbee Park.
